| Here for your consideration offered is a ultra rare watch from WW1 watch presented to a Corporal C S M Earnshaw of the A21 SAS Artist Riffles in Feb 2 1918 yes amazing to think this watch was worn in the first World war and it has survived and survived well. Amazing to think this watch is 1005 years old a very early wrist watch that has played a very important part of history. Also note Corporal Earnshaw was at the Somme it is possible this watch was presented to him of his return. note we have watch for over 5 years before be able to locate the correct part for the watch to run again. The watch has now been fully serviced and keeping very good time. How do we honestly put the true value on this watch it is so very hard any true collector of horology or militaria will understand this it is simply beautiful and you will find another fact. Its name is abbreviated to 21 SAS(R).Raised in London in 1859 as a volunteer light infantry unit, the regiment saw active service during the Second Boer War and the First World War, earning a number of battle honours. During the Second World War, it was used as an officer training unit.
